It's all in the concept. Increasingly in our industry the various Awards for Best Business/The Best Hair etc. are paramount to a successful business and each requires a specific type of image to be successful...Understanding the brief and the rules is the most important detail........For me this is rather like passing your GCSE’s! You MUST understand exactly what the judges are looking for and answer those requirements, if you ignore those parameters you’ll probably not win!!
In this class we will cover how to develop a concept and create a brief. How to tailor your creative vision to meet the rules and regulations of the competition you're entering. And finally how to bring your vision to life.
NAHA and British Hairdressing Award winning photographer John Rawson began taking photographs in the mid 90s after 15 successful years of doing hair. He began his career in a small town and soon transitioned to London. He studied with Sassoon and Leanord, eventually landing a job with the Alan International's Academy in Knightsbridge. He rose to the role of Art Director, producing shows internationally for Alan's and Wella. It was while producing photography and video for Alan's that he discovered his passion for creating images. Inspired by fashion, music, and film John focuses on editorial hair and beauty photography. Having produced photography for 30+ winning hairstylists he is eye is one of the most sought after in the business.
